World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion has been unveiled at Blizzcon 2019
Into the realm of death we go.
Many rumors were circulating before the announcement of the new WoW expansion, and indeed, they were all true.
The next destination for our beloved MMO is Shadowlands, a realm between life and death (all WoW players are familiar with it as...this is where they spawn when they die). Sylvanas returns to the Icecrown Citadel where Bolvar (the current Lich King) resides. The two battle one another but Sylvanas is the one to claim victory here. She takes Bolvar's crown and opens the portal to the Shadowlands.
Shadowlands will bring a new leveling system and the players will be reverted to level 50, with new level cap being 60. One of the key features of the expansion will be choosing a Covenant and aligning with one of the different factions inside this realm. Ion Hazzikostas says that this is an expansion about choice, and indeed, it seems we'll have plenty of it here.
5 new zones will be included (Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth, and the Maw) and we will have some old faces making a return, like Uther and Kael'Thas.
The expansion will launch at some point in 2020 (most likely August). Time to renew the subscription if you've stopped playing . Meanwhile, take a look at the cinematic trailer here:
