Lucid Dreams Studio have announced that their dark metroidvania, Biomorph is coming out on March 4.  We also have new footage to gawk at.

Based on what can we see in the trailers, we can expect a whole plethora of…well, rather gooey effects. It presents itself as a pretty slick game set in the realm of gated exploration. The biggest standout is that the gooey protagonist can take the form of some of the enemies in the game, which is a clever alternative to keys and a compelling foundation for puzzle-solving mechanics.

Moving beyond the typical platforming and collecting gameplay, we’ll also have the opportunity to customize a village. The mission involves the reconstruction of Brightmoor, where fostering relationships with its inhabitants is paramount and will be a critical component. Judging by the visuals, there's a diverse array of styles available for the buildings, offering a light, unobtrusive, and gratifying experience.

Biomorph is coming to PC on March 4. The extended demo will be available for Steam Next Fest.
