Ebb Software have announced that their upcoming biopunk survival horror game Scorn will launch on October 14, one week ahead of its previously scheduled October 21 date. Unlike many developers who keep delaying their games lately, this time the tides have turned and it’s such a breath of fresh air.

The game is heavily inspired by the works of the Swiss artist H.R. Giger who is well-known for his depictions of merging man with machines. The whole atmosphere is quite creepy, not gonna lie, so it comes as no surprise that the game is coming out just before Halloween. If you’re a fan of horror-driver narratives, you’re ought to enjoy this one. It also appears the game will have a major focus on puzzles, so if you’d like your brain to be challenged, you will have more than enough content to enjoy here.

The Steam page description reads:

“Scorn takes place in an open-ended world with different interconnected regions. Each region is a maze-like structure with various rooms and paths to discover. All the storytelling happens in-game, with no cut-scenes to distract you from the grisly reality of the living, breathing world you’re in. But keep your eyes open — the game won’t show you any sympathy if you miss something important on your uneasy travels.”

Scorn is coming to Xbox Series X and PC on October 14. You can check out the trailer below:
