Final Fantasy XIV is will be back on sale starting from January 25
Make sure you purchase it before the digital sales are shut down again.
Final Fantasy XIV became a really popular game recently. Too popular for its own good, perhaps. Last month, Square Enix have temporarily shut down digital sales of the game for that exact reason. If you haven’t checked it out already and you want to do so in 2022, the good news is that the game will be back on sale starting from January 25.
Square Enix themselves have confirmed that digital sales will be resuming starting from January 25, 2022, at 5:00 PM JST (or 3 AM the morning of January 25, if we’re talking about US ET).
There are two reasons why Square Enix chose that date. The first one is that the Oceanic data center will be open at that time, and we will have five worlds (servers) to accommodate both transferring players and new ones. The second one is that “the playtime and log-in frequency of current players is steadily returning to normal levels”, so that gives the company enough flexibility to handle new sales.
Final Fantasy XIV is in really good shape right now and it’s an MMO that you should definitely check out if you haven’t done that already. The game is available on PlayStation and PC.
