SkateBIRD release date has been pushed back to September on Xbox, PC, and Nintendo
More polishing needed.
Glass Bottom Games have announced a small delay for their upcoming skateboarding game SkateBIRD. The game will now launch in September.
As the name suggests, SkateBIRD lets you do all kinds of crazy maneuvers on your skateboard as a true pro-skating “tiny hawk.” You’ll get to grind around bird-sized skateparks made from sticky tapes and cardboards, hunt down fancy clothing, mixtapes, and more. You’ll also help bring more birds to your skate park and the game will have missions that you’ll have to complete to unlock new areas.
Even though the game was supposed to launch in August but is now delayed into September because it needs more polishing. At one point post-launch, the team is planning to add a new Skate Heaven stage as well as a “Pet the Bird Mode”.
SkateBIRD is coming out on September 16 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch. You can check out the trailer below:
