WB Games Montreal have announced that their co-op Batman Arkham follow-up Gotham Knights has been delayed into next year.


The studio issued a statement via the official Twitter account and here's what they had to say: "We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players. Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months."


The game was let us take the mantle of Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin and we will have to clean Gotham City in the aftermath of the events of Batman: Arkham City. The combat system will be redesigned from scratch and it will be fine-tuned to support cooperative play.


Gotham Knights is coming out on Xbox One, Xbox Series S'X, PS4, PS5, and PC in 2022.
