ConcernedApe have announced that Stardew Valley will be getting a multiplayer support on Nintendo Switch.
It should be pointed out that Switch is the first console to get a multiplayer version of this beloved game. PC players are already enjoying these innovations and PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait a bit longer.
This feature allows up to four players to manage a farm together. They can also help each other out whenever it is needed and they can share resources. However, you can play the game alone if you wish to, that's entirely up to you.
Among other innovations, you can expect voice and text chat as well.
