Yes, you can have your fav pets hanging out with you on Xbox Live

Major Nelson has announced that Pets will be available as additions to your Xbox Live Avatar at a cost of 240 MS points each. Starting tomorrow you can choose from a Large Dog, Pug Dog, Dog in Bag, Cat, Siamese Cat, Long Haired Cat, Goldfish, Guinea Pig, Monkey, Bird, Snake and Pony.
As a preview he has uploaded some pics to Flickr to get you excited... if that's your things anyway!
