id Software and Activision have confirmed that April 4th will be the release date for both DOOM 3 on the Xbox and DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil, the official PC expansion pack developed by id in co-operation with Nerve Software.

The Xbox version of the game includes 480p and wide-screen support, full Xbox Live multiplayer and an excusive Xbox 2-player co-op campaign while the PC expansion picks up two years following the events of the original in a once forgotten and remote UAC research facility on Mars, players will face new monsters that have new abilities but also get new weapons to fight them with such as the physics defying "grabber" and the classic double-barreled shotgun.
