HomeLan chats with Saitek's Bill McMahon as he talks about their present and future plans for the console and PC controller maker:

HomeLAN - Can you give us an idea on what it takes to design, create and test a new Saitek product before it is released to stores?

Bill McMahon - Depending on the product, it can take as long as two years to get a product from concept to shelf. We analyze the product and its purpose to put together the best set of benefits for the customer. It then goes through the design process, prototyping and extensive real-world testing. The result is a product that we know is the best it can be. We design, engineer and build all our products in our own facilities. This gives us the control and quality few others can match.
