The Pacifist's Great and Final Nightmare is about a pacifist who has been lured into a strange building after being deceived by a convincing phone voicemail. While waiting at the location he was asked to visit, the pacifist encountered a horrifying creature and ran for his life, barely escaping into an elevator. How will the pacifist stay true to his lifelong, peaceful ideals in the frightening times ahead?
The Pacifist's Great and Final Nightmare does not include an in-game tutorial. To move the player in the game, the keyboard's "W", "A", "S", "D" or arrow keys are used. The menu screen provides a "controls" section that allows some gameplay buttons to be changed. Some things in the game's levels can be used or picked up. The cursor in the middle of the screen changes into a bigger circle with a hole if the cursor is close to an object that can be used or picked up.
