Welcome to Speed Stars! Customize a character, load into the starting blocks, and blast your way down the track for glory! Rhythm, timing and pacing are ever important as you compete across four race distances, challenging your skills against the ghosts of online competitors, your own personal bests, or increasingly difficult bots.
Move your character with two controls, each controlling your right and left leg. Develop the right timing and you'll find yourself speeding down the track in no time!
Game Modes
Speed Stars features four races distances to try your hand at. Test your raw speed and acceleration over the 100 and 60 meters, or challenge your pacing and ability to hold form in the 200m and 400m before you run out of energy. Each event will demand different skillsets and attributes - master them all to achieve the highest rank and become the ultimate Speed Star!
Character Customization
As you progress, unlock more customizable characters that will each have slight differences in their play to help you fight your way up the ranks in each event. Change between different body types, clothing options and their colors, or completely randomize it! Your character's build may have an effect on the events they can be superstars at.
Leaderboards and Head-to-head Competition
Access ghosts of other Steam users by going to the leaderboard, clicking their name and selecting them in the setup menu. Includes leaderboards of worldwide players as well as your Steam friends!
Versus AI
Choose to race against up to seven competitive AI racers, whose skill level will scale based on your own personal bests. See how you stack up against a full field of eight racers, or an intense 1v1. You can even mix AI's with ghosts of real competitors, as well as your own!
Personalization
Options to change the stadium theme, music track, player controls, and camera view all exist to allow you to personalize your experience and optimize your enjoyment and performance.
