In a world where making love without the feeling of love will make you spontaneously combust, a couple struggles to stay together. The person you love most, might be the one to burn you.
You play as Yun, an up and coming photographer, struggling to maintain his life and relationship with his live-in girlfriend, Chitra. A change will see you play as Chitra, seeing events unfold from her side after going through the story from Yun’s perspective. Experience the relationship between the eyes of these two not so starry-eyed individuals, as you unfold one memory after another through this point and click interactive narrative adventure.
Fires At Midnight takes place in late 90’s era Malaysia as it was — alongside dial-up connections and huge bulky phones. It is nearing the end of the millennium, and the world is ravaged by a mysterious virus called “The Love Bug” which burns people who commit the act of making love, without the feeling of love. Just before new year’s day, Yun is completing a photo book in which he plans to give his girlfriend, Chitra. What he doesn’t know is, Chitra is going through something terrifyingly dark and depressive that may put a strain towards their relationship — or maybe something even worse.
