About

Overview
Electioneering is a Fog of War driven 2020 US Election turn-based dark political simulation.

The focus is on changing voters opinions on the issues to get them to vote for the Candidate you are backing. Throughout the game there are events happening such as Trump's Impeachment, or the covid-19 outbreak which are creating new issues for the voters to consider. Each issue contains multiple topics, such as Trump's acquittal and the first Covid-19 case in America.

You pick and choose which topics to research and then take out ads to sway the voters by applying spin to the topic. At the same time the Candidates are doing the exact same thing! You have to counter what they're doing. To do that you have to know the minds of the voters, you do this by taking out polls, or hacking the Candidates and stealing information from their campaign! There are hundreds of different Events, Issues, Topics, and Arguments (spin) you can use to reshape the conversation the voters are having.

Story
It's been 4 years since you last got this phone call. It's time. America is choosing a new leader and the world is watching. Some of us are doing more than watching, we're falsifying information, we're spreading lies. We're Electioneering. This time it's Trump and Biden, it's your job to use all the resources at your disposal to make sure that your candidate wins. Can you convince the voters to ignore what they see, to ignore what they feel and to vote your way? Can you lie, cheat, and steal this election? We'll give you a weekly stipend and some contacts, the rest is up to you. If you get caught, we don't know you. If you lose, well. These aren't the kind of people you want to disappoint.
