As announced during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2024.


Based on the footage that we can see, this could be the most faithful port of the upcoming GBA title. This even applies to the multiplayer Battle Mode, which we can access locally in this version. Having that in mind, the character portraits come with a better-than-GBA resolution, closely resembling what we had in Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse.


Following the Indie World Showcase presentation, WayForward added that the game will also launch on PS4, PS5, and PC and they’ve confirmed that character portraits will be a part of the Gameboy Advance version of the game, but not in HD like the trailer suggests.


Shantae Advance is coming to Nintendo Switch and other platforms in 2024. We’re yet to get a release date, but meanwhile, you can check out the trailer below:
