Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio have revealed that Lies of P, a soullike that stood out in an oversaturated genre by giving us a unique take on Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio, managed to sell a million copies globally.

This achievement comes with pretty good critical acclaim and it has “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. Commenting on this milestone in a press release, Neowiz CEO Seungchul Kim stated that “this incredible milestone for Lies of P proves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage.”

Both studios can be proud of this achievement, even though it didn’t come easily. Quite the contrary, Kim revealed that “the Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio.” We’ve also had some controversies, like removing the anti-cop sign in the game, but things worked out well in the end.

Lies of P is available now on Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
