Amnesia: The Dark Descent now supports Steam Workshop

A gem coming from Frictional Games that launched back in 2010, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, will now be much easier to mod thanks to the Steam Workshop support. Yay!


In a recent post on the official Amnesia page, the studio said that they decided to enable the publishing of custom mods via Steam. They also acknowledge that modding is now a big part of the community. Places like Nexus Mods have been a true reservoir of new content but now we have a new repository to get our modifications for Dark Descent.


The survival horror genre has been around for a while now but it was the original Amnesia that kicked things off with style. By adding a mechanic that makes it impossible to defend yourself, the game became a gem for anyone who likes a good challenge. There have been new games in the series coming out, but none of them quite matched the quality of the original.


Amnesia: The Dark Descent is now available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
