SNK have announced that they’ll be holding an open beta this week to test the rollback netcode update coming to the world-class punch-up The King of Fighters XIII Global Match. The beta takes place on PS4 from June 5(today) through June 11.

The beta allows all PS4 owners to check an updated version of the excellent 2010 sequel, which is the last KoF title to date to feature 2D animation to support its highly intense gameplay. Several modes will be available to everyone, including Online Vs, Customization, and Practice Lobby where people can test their skills. During these six days, SNK will gather data to analyze how well the new netcode is fairing.

I think it’s great to see that KoF XIII is getting an update because it really is one of the best games SNK ever put out and it deserves to be properly experienced by current and all future generations to come.

The King of Fighters XIII Global Match is available on PC right now and it is coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4 in the near future.
