The launch date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is getting closer and we’ve just got one final trailer to make the hype even bigger. Namely...in the trailer, we’ve found out that a fan-favorite Ganondorf is coming back. And not only that, he will be voiced by none other than the legendary Matthew Mercer himself! Hell yeah!

An immense honor that I have thrown myself into doing justice. I have been an immense Legend of Zelda fan since I was a child, and Ganondorf has been one of my favorite antagonists… to the point where I portrayed this green-skinned menace for my webseries over a decade ago! Matthew Mercer is one of the more prolific voice actors in the video games industry, and the games he was involved with include Persona 5, Smash Ultimate, Death Stranding, Guilty Gear, Overwatch, and Kingdom Hearts III among many others. There is no doubt his iteration of Ganondorf will be just as epic in Tears of the Kingdom.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
