The world premiere of the Super Mario Bros. Movie is getting closer and now we have another trailer to gawk at. This footage shows off some heavy “Super Show Rap” vibes, and I absolutely love it!

For unfamiliar youngsters out there, Super Mario Bros. Rap featured as the title music to the trainwreck that was Super Mario. Bros Super Show, the animated series that originally aired back in 1989. The show was infamously known for its short, rubbish adventures that were mixed with occasional live-action segments. WWE Captain Lou Albano provided the voice for Mario while the popular Canadian voice actor Danny Wells took the role of Luigi.

The brand new Super Bowl ad features rap as a backing track to a “Real World” advertisement for the Mario Bros. plumbing services, promoting their fast, quick, and low-cost pipe repair. We then see some segments from the upcoming movie, with some fast and entertaining platforming sections in the spotlight. We even have a Smash Bros. - style showdown, and a familiar ride down the Rainbow Road. Gotta say, out of all trailers that we’ve seen for the movie, this is definitely my favorite one at the moment.

The Super Mario Bros. movie will launch in theatres in the UK and Europe in late March while the North American premiere is scheduled for April 7.
