Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still being worked on despite Ubisoft’s cancellations
Good news, for sure.

As you likely already know, Beyond Good & Evil 2 currently holds the record for the game with the longest time in development and it can easily be considered the poster child for development hell. Nonetheless, Ubisoft have just reassured us that the game’s development is still “underway and the team is hard at work to deliver on its ambitious promise.”
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced back in 2009 but we’ve got our first trailer nearly a whole decade later (at E3 in 2017) and another cinematic trailer a year later at the same event. The original Beyond Good & Evil is a cult classic that launched in 2003 on the PS2, Nintendo GameCube, and PC. It sounds crazy to consider that, if the sequel would come out today, it would’ve skipped three whole console generations! Nonetheless, if the game ever sees the light of day, I’ll look forward to giving it a try.
