Sony’s “Smart Delivery” system is still causing a lot of trouble for many people and many developers have stood up to make sure that PlayStation players are playing the right version of their games. Bungie is one of them and they are doing their best to ensure that their PlayStation audience is playing the right version of Destiny 2.

Bungie issued the following statement for the PS5 owners:

Heads up, PlayStation Guardians. We’ve noticed a notable number of PS5 players playing the PS4 version of Destiny 2 on their current-generation consoles. For the optimal experience for PlayStation goodness, make sure to check out this resource here to upgrade to the free PS5 version to see an improvement in framerates and graphics overall.”

The resource goes straight to the official Sony FAQ page where people can learn more about the difference between choosing the “PS4 version” and “PS5 version” of games that support cross-generation delivery. In case you’ve never done it before, all you need to do is go to the game’s main hub and check if the game has upgrade license available. If it has, you need to make some space and download it.

Destiny 2 is now available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
