Elden Ring patch 1.06 has finally arrived and it brings some important changes that need to be highlighted here (balance changes included).

The most important change applies to White Mask Varre’s questline, which previously required players to engage in PVP to complete it. Now you can finish the quest without having to do any PVP whatsoever, which is a huge deal for all people who aren’t interested in online play. When it comes to multiplayer, though, the new update has “added the function to send summoning signs to summoning pools in multiple areas, including distant areas.” A win-win scenario for everyone!

Speaking of balance changes, motion speed has now been increased for several weapons and the great axe got a major speed buff. Light equipment load is also fully buffed while the Ash of War: Bloodhound Step has been nerfed to get rid of exploitative “continuous use”. On top of all of that, the update fixed a total of 33 bugs, which is quite impressive.
