Blizzard reveals the launch date for Wrath of the Lich King Classic

Blizzard have finally revealed the release date for the recreation of arguably the best World of Warcraft expansion – Wrath of the Lich King classic. The launch date is set for September 26th.

Here’s what Blizzard president Mike Ybarra had to say about the game at the time of announcement:

“We’re thrilled to revisit one of the most beloved eras in Warcraft history with Wrath of the Lich King Classic. The original release of this expansion brought many improvements to the game, along with a timeless villain and an epic story.

We’re taking care to preserve the authentic Classic experience for those looking to relive their glory days in Northrend—and deliver a worthy and accessible re-creation for those embarking on this vast adventure for the first time.”

Wrath of the Lich King was indeed one of the most beloved World of Warcraft expansions and it brings the conclusion to a story that we were following since Warcraft 3. Other than offering top-notch content, this expansion also introduces the Death Knight classes (my favorite one). Looking forward to going back to this awesome period of WoW’s long history.
