Blizzard have released the first character for Sojourn, the first new hero debuting in the highly-anticipated Overwatch 2.

She is the former captain of the Canadian special forces. She ends up teaming up with the Overwatch during the events of the Omnic Crisis. During this time, she fought alongside Jack, also known as Soldier 76. Once the war ended, Soldier 76 reached out to Sojourn with a proposal to join the Overwatch squad officially. It took a few years to convince her, but she’s now officially a part of the squad.

We’ll be able to see Sojourn in action during the upcoming Overwatch 2 PvP beta. As revealed last month, the beta will go live at the end of April and will allow everyone interested to try out the new 5v5 team structure as well as four new maps, and a brand new mode named Push.

Blizzard have also announced that they will be changing the delivery mode for Overwatch 2, “decoupling” the PvP side from the promised PvE story mode. They are planning to push the game into our hands sooner, while they continue to work on the PvE in the background. The Overwatch 2 PvP beta will take place on April 26 on PC. You can sign up here if you’re interested.
