The King of Fighters XV is getting a free bonus DLC character and Boss challenge next month

He first showed up as a boss in The King of Fighters 95, and will now be a part of King of Fighters XV starting from April 14. Also known as the ‘Dark Arms Merchant of Death’, he is also the leader of the world’s black market (quite self-explanatory, really). After getting incredible power from Orochi in The King of Fighters 97, he became a force to be reckoned and he preserved that status until his defeat. In this game, he is brought back from the dead once more thanks to Verse’s influence and he is hungry for some sweet revenge.

Rugal is coming up along with a new Boss Challenge that will put your skills to the ultimate test. If you think you have the skills, you can test them against an extremely tough CPU version of the character. If you manage to beat him, you will get access to a special costume, stage, and music to satisfy your collector’s cravings.

The free update comes as a surprise bonus in-between the game’s current DLC plans. Team Garou launched last week and will be joined by Team South Town this May. A new patch for the game also launched today, fixing some of the issues that players were reporting in the past (like dashing and freezing).
