Her Story creator Sam Barlow has announced his next interactive movie project and it’s titled Immortality. As we’ve just learned, the game will arrive later this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

What we have here is a horror story told across three movies and it focuses on the disappearance of a fictional film star named Marissa Marcel. She made three movies in her entire career -  Ambrosio, Minsky, and Two of Everything. Unfortunately, none of these movies ever got released, Marcel eventually ended up missing, and it’s up to you to find out what the hell happened here.

Along the way, you’ll be trying to put the pieces from behind-the-scenes footage from all three movies together to see what happened. You’ll also have scenes from the movies themselves to work with. Instead of offering a simple text-based interface like Telling Lies and Her Story, you’ll now be able to directly click on points of interest in the footage.

The game doesn’t have an exact release date just yet, but we know that it will eventually launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC later this year. Studio Half Mermaid also confirmed that the game will eventually arrive on more platforms, but they are yet to tell us which ones. In the meantime, make sure you check out the trailer below.
