A44 and Kepler Interactive have announced an open-world action RPG titled Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. The game will arrive on both PC and consoles at some point in later 2022.

Here’s what the official blurb says: “The Door to the Afterlife has been opened, allowing the old God’s army of the undead to escape from within. The living are on the brink of extinction. It’s time for the coalition army to retake their world. Embrace vengeance, gunpowder and magic and embark on an epic journey to lead mankind’s final siege against the tide of the dead.”

Based on the information that we have right now, the game will combine supernatural aspects with guns and gunpowder, and you’ll even be able to join the coalition army. You’ll also be able to unleash devastating combos that use both traditional weapons and magic and even control a magical half-dog, half-raccoon creature that looks so cool. You can see it in the video below.

You can expect a vast and dangerous open world full of different biomes like cavernous ruins desert sands, and a deserted city. You’ll get to recruit a lot of allies along the way as well, and a part of your mission will have you reassembling the Balckstream sappers. The game looks really promising already, and personally, I can’t wait to see more details uncovered.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC later this year. You can watch the trailer below (thank you IGN):
