The video showed up during the latest PlayStation State of Play broadcast. As this is a story trailer, we have a glimpse of the plot that follows a young swordsman named Hiroki who made an oath to his dying master that he would protect his town and all of its citizens against the incoming threats. To keep that promise, you will have to roam the area between life and death.

The trailer shows off plenty of side-scrolling combat that looks like it’s taken directly from the classic samurai movies. Following that cinematic theme, the trailer also introduces the voice cast, including Sarah Emi Bridcutt Masayuki Katou, and Horioshi Shirokuma. They look and sound so awesome indeed.

The game was initially announced back in June 2021 and we got a closer look at the gameplay the past December. In general, the game promises stylish combat, cinematic presentation, thrilling soundtrack, and mythic storytelling to enjoy. I’m really hyped for this game and I’m looking forward to it.

Trek to Yomi is coming out this spring on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Check out the trailer below:
