Universal Pictures have just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 live-action movie. The title is “Blue justice”. So intriguing.
The video sees our favorite hedgehog becoming Blue Justice and going ahead to fight some criminals. We also have a glimpse at Jim Carrey’s Dr. Eggman/Robotnik who (this time) looks much more like his in-game counterpart. On top of that, we have another look at Idris Elba’s Knuckles, who will give a hard time to Sonic and Tails, that’s for sure.
Tails’ biplane, Chaos Emeralds, and a lot of other nods to the games can be seen here. We can even see a giant Death Egg. I’m really hyped to see the movie right now.
Before we get to see the second movie, we’ve got a confirmation that the third movie is already in production along with a television series spin-off starring Knuckles. Idris Elba will be returning to the series, and we’ll have to wait and see if Sonic shows as well.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will arrive in UK cinemas on April 1, and the US release is scheduled for April 8. You can check out the trailer below:
