Polyphony Digital have released two new videos for their upcoming racer Gran Turismo 7 where they’ve compared one of the game’s courses with its real-life counterpart.

The team is doing their best to make this “The Real Driving Simulator” indeed. They’ve put real professional driver Dai Yoshihara against Gran Turismo megafan Steve Brown, and together, together, they are comparing a real-world circuit to the one we can see in the game ahead of release next month.

The team went to Willow Springs International Raceway in Los Angeles, also known as Big Willow. This is the oldest permanent road coast in the US and it’s been around since 1953. It was also the home of the FIA GT Championships last year.

Yoshihara drives a race-ready Evasive Motorsports Tesla Model 3 Performance vehicle, while Brown is driving a modified Tesla Model S. As you can see in the video, if try to compare the difference between the PlayStation 5 visuals and real-world footage and the gorgeous, you’ll have a really hard time. And if you want a more direct comparison, you can watch yet another video down below.

The Big Willow circuit will join other tracks like the Daytona International Circuit and the Deep Forest Raceway once the game launches next month. Gran Turismo 7 is coming to PS4 and PS5 on March 4, 2022.
