Bandai Namco have announced a remastered collection of the first two Klonoa platforming games for modern consoles and PC – Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series.

The bundle contains both the original 1998 PlayStation title Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and the sequel Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil. Both games feature a titular hero who ventures on to a side-scrolling adventure set in a land fuelled by dreams. After an airship crashes into the local mountain, Klonoa sets out followed by a ring spirit named Huepow, which kicks off the whole journey.

The remastered collection brings some new features to the table (other than visual upgrades, that is). For instance, we now have the 2 player co-op to help new players as well. We can also change the difficulty or determine whether we want to blast through everything or we prefer having some challenge along the way.

This isn’t the first time the series got a remake. The first one (Klonoa: Door to Phantomile) launched in 2009 on the Nintendo Wii and it was quite successful. There is no doubt this bundle will follow in its footsteps!

The Nintendo Switch version of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is coming out in July but the game is also heading to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC shortly afterward. You can check out the trailer below:
