Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden gets announced and it’s coming later this month
The cards are calling...

Square Enix have announced that their card-based RPG The Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is coming out later this month.
This is a sequel to last year’s Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, and just like that game, it tells its story entirely through the medium of cards themselves. It’s a standalone title, though, so you can play it without ever touching the previous game.
The creative team behind Draknegard and NieR is here once again (that also includes the creative director Yoko Taro). The story takes place on a chain of islands protected by a group known as the Maidens. As the blurb says: “the turn-based adventure will have players follow the protagonist to save the people of the island as they face the threat of destruction. In this touching tale set in a world of melancholic beauty, players will set sail for the high seas, together with Laty, a girl who failed to become a maiden.”
If you’re a fan of Taro’s other works, you will be able to pick up the game in a bundle with some themed DLC. That way, you’ll be getting additional costume designs, themes for the table and battle board, and some soundtrack from the NieR series. On top of that, you’ll get a Pixel Art Set that changes all illustrations to pixel art. What more can you ask for?
Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is coming out on February 17 on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out the trailer below:
