Monster Hunter Rise is doing a collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog next week
This is the crossover we’ve been waiting for.
Capcom have announced that they will be doing a collaboration with Sega as Sonic the Hedgehog arrives to the game next week. Hooray, I really needed the iconic blue blur here.
The crossover will take place on November 26, and it will see two new special event quests to collect Sonic’s famous rings. Based on the description, we’ll get to hear some “classic compositions” from the series. We don’t know which ones but the trailer below includes the iconic Escape from the City from Sonic Adventure 2, so we have one hint at least.
If you complete all of these quests, you will unlock three unique Sonic and Tails armor sets for you and your companions. Your Hunter gets to wear some dashing Sonic Wear layered armor, while your Palamute can sport a nifty Tails number. If that wasn’t enough, your Palico even gets cosmetics that make him look like Sonic. What’s more, it lets them do the Blue Blur’s iconic Spin Dash move too. Isn’t that awesome?
As a bonus, the Palico costume also offers one more feature – if you use the Felvine Bulb, you can transform the Palico into Super Sonic, and there’s even a familiar chaos emerald animation there. I really can’t wait to try this out!
The Monster Hunter Rise Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration will be available in Monster Hunter Rise on November 26 on the Nintendo Switch. The official Twitter account also says the DLC will be available for PC owners when the PC version arrives in January. Make sure you check out the trailer below:
