Krafton have announced what people can expect from the next update for Battle Royale shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds.

The 14.2 update’s major new feature is the addition of chickens to the Taego map. Hell yeah! They’re not just a fun gimmick, they actually have a gameplay feature as well. If players get too close, they will make a fuss and will give away their positions so you need to be super careful.

The update also introduces a brand new weapon - Mortar. Yet again, exclusive to the Taego map, you will have to practice to learn how to use this explosive weaponry in the most effective way possible. If you need more explosive firepower, you’ll be glad to know that you also have a new M79 Smoke Grenade Launcher included in the update as well. Lastly, we also have the introduction of DBNO swimming. Until this point, if you fell into the water, you’d just die right away, but now you have a chance to slowly swim to the shore and survive if a squad-mate can get to you quickly enough.

The PUBG: Battlegrounds 14.2 update will arrive on PC on November 3 and consoles on November 11. You can check out the full patch notes right here.
