Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City’s first trailer is here, and based on what we can see, the movie looks pretty good.


There are plenty of obvious nods to the first two games that this movie is based on. Claire Redfield (Kaya Scodelario) and Leon Kennedy (Avan Jogia) look almost the same as their game counterparts. And we have also have mentions of Umbrella, Raccoon City Police Department building, and the Spencer Mansion. Call it fan service, but I bloody love them all.


We also have some direct references to the scenes from the games. We have the infamous tanker scene that opens Resident Evil 2 and even the iconic “first zombie” scene from the mansion of the original game. The trailer also gives us a sneak peek at some of the game’s most iconic monsters. It’s a real feast for one’s eyes if you’re a fan of the franchise, that’s for sure.
