Bandai Namco have announced that the super-popular 3D fighter Tekken 7 has officially surpassed seven million global sales on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. This impressive record has been teased by the series producer Katsuhiro Harada and the milestone was officially declared the past weekend.

Speaking on Twitter, Mr. Harrada posted an updated version of the game's recurring "party" artwork which shows the entire cast of fighters chilling at a swanky gathering. The image has also been expanded to include the latest DLC characters such as Kunimitsu II and the Polish prime minister Lidia Sobieska.

Tekken 7 released in Japan back in 2017, and it took two years for the game to reach the western market. With this impressive record, this is now the second best-selling release in the critically acclaimed franchise. Tekken 3 is still a contender to beat, but it's a feat worth celebrating nonetheless.

Tekken 7 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
