During a recent Final Fantasy XIV live stream, we got an official confirmation that the game is coming to PS5. Hooray! It was also announced that the open beta is scheduled for April 2021. I mean, we saw it coming sooner or later, but it's an awesome feeling knowing that we'll soon be able to enjoy this masterpiece in a full 4k environment.
Final Fantasy XIV on the PS5 will be a free upgrade for all players who already own the PS4 version of the game. With the raw power of the PS5 hardware, the game will load faster, and it will have two different options for the visuals - 4K mode and 2K mode (in case you want better framerate).
Time to renew my subscription!
