As we've just found out, Daedalic Entertainment's The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been pushed back into 2022. The team needs more time to polish everything so that we can really immerse ourselves into this narrative-driven adventure that tells the story of a diminutive dual-personality villain before he appears in the books. Patience is all we need right now.


The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first announced last year, and it was initially scheduled for 2021 release. Daedalic promises a campaign that will offer a variety of different choices and players will have the opportunity to explore Sméagol's more benevolent side or simply take the dark path and embrace evil. I believe the game will have great replay value, and it's one more reason why I'm so excited to try it out.


The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series S'X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022. You can watch the trailer below:
