I was always wondering what would a League of Legends MMO look like and it seems that I might find out soon enough. Riot confirmed that they are working on an MMORPG set in the world of Runeterra.
Basically, they've announced that they are recruiting developers for a brand new project and Greg Street added that his new job would be to create "kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create." When he was asked whether that new game will be an MMORPG, he tweeted: "It is an MMO."
The announcement was also confirmed in a statement that the studio gave to PCGamer - "Greg's tweet is our only official statement at this time. I can confirm that he will be working on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. (MMORPG)." All of us who love LoL can start celebrating right away!
We don't know anything about the game just yet but we expect information soon. In any case, we will keep you updated. Until then, just imagine the clash of the titans - WoW vs. LoL. I can't wait to experience it!
