Fortnite is getting a video chat functionality on PS4, PS5, and PC
You just need the Houseparty app.
The immensely popular battle royale Fortnite now has an integrated video chat function on both PC and Playstation consoles thanks to the collaboration with the Houseparty app.
To use this new option, you will need an Android or iOS mobile device with the app installed. That way, you can connect your Epic Games account and use the camera. The app will do everything for you, and before you notice, you will end up in front of a Fortnite-themed virtual background. The end result is awesome, trust me.
If you have any safety concerns, you can turn off the option at any point, and in that case, only people in your Houseparty room and your Houseparty friends will be able to see you. You can also consult the official FAQ if you have any issues, everything is covered in a nice and convenient way.
Fortnite is still going strong, and now that you can play it on the next-generation consoles as well, the hype isn't going to end anytime soon.
