As a result of many troubling accusations made against MrWizard (Joey Cuellar), the annual Evo fighting game tournament has been canceled. After many participants, commentators and supporters started to drop out of the show, the same happened with publishers like Capcom, Bandai Namco, and NetherRealm.
Following an in-depth investigation, Evo parted ways with Cuellar and announced that Tony Cannon is taking over as the new CEO.
It will be difficult but Cannon and the rest of the EVO team need to rebuild the trust that they've lost in the fighting game community. We wish them the best of luck!
