Paradox Interactive keeps growing as a company, and as a result, it comes logical that they need to expand their development team. Paradox have now announced the opening of a new independent studio in Barcelona - Paradox Tinto. A Paradox veteran, Johan Anderson was assigned as the head of the studio and we also got an official press release where Charlotta Nilsson explained what we should expect in the future:

"People love our games and we love the fact that we are growing to create more for them, we're particularly pleased to expand for the first time with a new studio focusing on the core game genre we're famous for: grand strategy. The success of our studios over the last few years has allowed us to continually add more capabilities and new ideas, with more games going into active development and more ambitious plans every day."

The development of Europa Universalis IV will be the handled by Anderson and his team, but more strategy games are yet to come in the future, of course. We wish Paradox Tinto the best of luck and we expect a lot of great titles there.
