Under the sea, under the sea...
A remake of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was recently announced by THQ Nordic and now we finally have a glimpse of how the game will actually look like. That's right, we have the first official trailer. And it kicks ass!
You'll have the chance to control three beloved characters from the acclaimed Nickelodeon series - Sandy Cheeks, Patrick Star, and of course, Sponge Bob himself. Evil Plankton is preparing to take over Bikini Bottom and it is up to our heroes to save the day yet again.
We don't see some huge changes here, but I have to admit, the game sure looks colorful and pretty. The gameplay looks fluid as well and it will be a real pleasure to (re)visit this beautiful underwater paradise once the game comes out.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom will launch on June 23 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You can pre-order the game on PC and Xbox One already but you will be able to do the same on Switch and PS4 at a later point. You can watch the trailer here:
