After several delightful teasers that were posted earlier this week, Blizzard have revealed that the 32nd hero to arrive to the massively popular online shooter, Overwatch will be none other than Echo. We saw this cute AI coming to Overwatch 2, but now we will have the pleasure to try Echo in the original game as well.
Echo is the creation of Dr. Mina Liao. He is a highly intelligent, learning android who was created as a force for good. Unfortunately, a terrible accident has occurred in the laboratory and Dr. Liao lost her life. Nonetheless, her legacy (both ideals and spirit) will keep on living through Echo. It is the AI's task now to fight and protect the powerless while bringing peace to the world.
