Nintendo is not planning to release a new Switch model this year
The current one is good enough anyway.

Nintendo's financial records are booming and the company has never been in a better state. Or, well, at least not in this century. The results are so good that Ninty announced that they have "no plans to launch a new Nintendo Switch model in 2020." How badass!
If you were hoping for a new model this year, you'll have to deal with the standard Switch and Switch Lite models for now. But that will probably change in the near future. So yeah, the best advice that I can give right now is - stay tuned.
