One interesting game to look at and a game that may easily become another contender for your 2020 Steam wishlist is a title called Black Book. This game is set in the 19th century and it has some serious roots in Slavic mythology. The plot, that is.
The story revolves around a witch-in-the-making Vasilisa who "decides to throw her fate away and marry her beloved" only to witness his death "under mysterious circumstances". What is the solution here? Well, it's "A demonic artifact, said to be powerful enough to grant any wish to the one who uncovers all seven of its seals". Sounds fair enough.
The game promises a lot of variety but my favorite aspects (based on what I've seen so far) are card-based battles as well as the fact that you command different demons. These demons are ought to "torture you if you don't find them something to do", so you better be careful.
Morteshka (the Russian studio behind this game) already achieved tremendous success with The Mooseman so there is no doubt that these folks know what they are doing. We wish them the best of luck!
Black Book will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point in the future.
