Sonic fans will be pleased to know that our favorite hedgehog will be joining AiAi in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. Thank you, Sega!
He will be a hidden unlockable character and he'll appear in his classic form. Great decision, I must say, although anything is better than that CGI nightmare from the movie.
Playing as Sonic will also trigger some special gameplay effects. For instance, bananas will turn into the usual golden rings. We can't have Sonic collect bananas now, can we? We will also get the notable soundtrack from old-school Sonic games to really kick that nostalgia in. Sounds very good indeed!
There will be some unlockable costumes for other characters, so let's hope that Sonic gets the same treatment as well.
