Bungie has huge plans for the next five years
A non-Destiny game should also be on the market by 2025.
In the beginning, Bungie was all about Halo, and nowadays, the focus has shifted to Destiny. It appears, though, that the company is planning a change of pace in the next half-decade.
In an interview with IGN, the CEO of the company, Pete Parsons said that the company is planning to expand its portfolio. He said: "Our vision, ultimately, through 2025 is to become one of the world's best entertainment companies". Big plans for sure! And that includes a new property.
He also added that Bungie needs to " make sure we transform Destiny [into a single evolving world] and that we have other franchisees within the marketplace. But part of our vision is also to become a multi-franchise entertainment company". It will be really interesting to see Bungie switching into a multi-franchise developer and all we can do right now is keep our fingers crossed.
In the meantime, Destiny 2 has just switched to Steam and if you didn't transfer your Battle.net account yet, make sure you do that today (when the servers are up again).
