Today we take a look at some of the most anticipated games of October 2019.

October is looking like a great month for games, which sees the release of Luigis Mansion 3 on the switch, Obsidian's The Outer Worlds and the destiny expansion, Shadowkeep.

But first, we start with:

Concrete Genie

You are a boy named Ash; you have an amazing ability to bring your paintings to life. You live in a town called Denska, after an environmental disaster hits, you use your ability to revitalize your home. Bullies roam the town causing havoc, doing as they please and making life miserable for everyone, especially you. The paintings you bring to life can come in so many different forms and creations, not one person playing will paint the same. Finding old graffiti on the town walls, you pull out your magical paintbrush and start creating a new fresh breath of life to the world. You can use multiple different animations when it comes to your unique paint strokes. From flowers, rainbows, hills to lighting up the skies with colors of the aurora. You can be precise or just slap some creation with no hesitation. You can create new friends and bring them to life, after you complete your new friend, they are done, you cannot edit them, they are now apart of the world. You can paint on any wall in the game, so in the end each game will look different. When it comes to the drawing of creatures, it really makes a difference when it comes to how you paint. Let us say that if you draw a creature horizontally, the creature will act more animalistic, opposed to painting vertical where your friend can stand on two foot and walk. The creatures you create will ask for environments around them, as you do what they ask, they will in turn give you power ups for your paintbrush. With your super paint, you can recreate life where it was taken when the environmental disaster struck. The darkness that covers the walls can only be painted over with the super charged paint. With the charged paintbrush, ever color, stroke and splash that comes out of it is either bigger, brighter or wider.

Recreate your world in this beautiful game thanks to PixelOpus. Available exclusively for PS4 October 8th.

Shadowkeep

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, man, where to begin...OK, let us go with the crucible menu. More options for more game modes. They took quickplay out, so for those of us guardians that like to jump right into a crucible match, Bungie added a mode called "Classic Mix", (a connection based playlist [like Quickplay today]). Competitive is replaced by 3v3 Survival (which now awards Glory). A Survival Solo Queue playlist that also awards glory. 6v6 Control has its own as well. All new weapons, Raid, and gear sets. This Pass like every other pass for D2 will be a pretty penny. Some guns are being brought back and others will be brand new.

Coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 October 1st.

Call of Duty MW

This is going to be an exciting year for all Call of Duty fans, even the ones that have stopped playing over the years. A Modern Warfare that will take us all back to basics. The Killstreak system is back, along with a couple of old, but missed Killstreaks. For instance, the Juggernaut, and the Nuke! Those I might add, are very hard to procure. None the less, they are worth the effort. Now, the biggest change coming to the game besides the guns maps and some Killstreaks, is the Scorestreak, Killstreak switch. If you have been playing CoD for a while then you know what I am talking about, if not, here we go. Killstreaks are

where you have to get multiple kills in order to get special streaks like the Juggernaut or the White Phosphorus. You stack kill after kill. The Infantry Streak may require you to get 15 kills all in a row without dying, versus the Scorestreaks as to where you will need to add up points to gain a Streak. So, let us say that you capture a flag, you gain a certain amount of points, killing other players will also grant you score points. So instead of having to have 5 or 10 kills without dying, you will need to stack your points, which in my opinion is a lot easier than Killstreaks and I am glad it is going away. All new campaign, weapons, Steaks and multiplayer levels and customization. All will be new. With the new animations while loading your gun or while running with your weapon of choice, it will all differ how your character walks, reloads or runs. This will bring a more realistic feel to the franchise. The beta will be available to anyone that preordered any edition of the game on September 12th, 2019. This should really be a hit, if it is not, I know a lot of people who will probably never spend money on another Call of Duty game again, including myself.

The game is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25th.

Sniper Elite 3

Sniper Elite is a well known for its bone crushing, flesh penetrating and muscle tearing X-ray vision views while a bullet fired from your weapon tears through the enemy's bodies. Anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch can now enjoy Sniper Elite 3 on the go. This game is all about stealth and planning. Trained for stealth, sabotage and close combat, you are as deadly up close and personal, as you are from a distance. A wealth of land ranging from twisting canyons to ancient cities, offers you an abundant amount of tactical opportunities. You plan your own play style. You can tackle any mission from any angle you desire. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to advancing in this game. One bullet can change the game.

This is such a great port for the Nintendo Switch, and you can jump into action October 1st.

Ghost Recon, Breakpoint

Ghost recon invented the open world military coop genre. This year its creators bring you Breakpoint. You are a fully customizable Spec Ops Soldier as you take on elite soldiers who were once your brothers. Auroa, an island nestled deep in the Pacific Ocean, filled with rich locations and beautiful scenery for as far as your eye can see. This is where Jace Skell, entrepreneur and visionary decided to build the headquarters of Skell Technologies. A high-tech development company that aims to eradicate food shortages and poverty, with an advancement in artificial intelligence and autonomous drones. This time you are facing a new nemesis. Someone from your past, Lieutenant Colonel Cole walker who saw the future in Skell's work. The leader of the Wolves, a US Army Spec Ops gone rogue. Walker has taken control of the island with one vision in mind, a new world order using his army of programmed killer drones. The worlds only hope lay in the hands of the Ghosts. A Special Operations tactical unit sent in to stop the Wolves, but as former Ghosts also, the Wolves already know everything about them, and they lay in wait with snarled teeth bared.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC October 4th.

Luigi's Mansion 3

Luigi nervously enters a brand new mansion with the Poltergust in hand. We are going to be seeing all new graphics thanks to HD. The details are great. Given this is the Nintendo Switch and not the Xbox or PS4, the details are great. Nintendo has come a long way with its new Switch console. So, this should be a very exciting adventure indeed. Luigi's Mansion has been a big hit with Nintendo since the release of a solo Luigi game. As to tradition the Poltergust he is holding is a brand new model, featuring green LEDs on each side, and some kind of energy or containment tank on the back. This just might be the

Poltergust 6,000, following the 5,000 model from Dark Moon. This may mean that Luigi has already met up with Professor Egad in some capacity, although there are no signs of him in the trailer. Luigi can unleash a strobe effect to stun the ghost that stand in his way before he sucks them up. The longer you charge the light for the stronger the blast of illumination. The Poltergust has a couple of new features too, like firing plungers at enemies. He can instantly switch from the flashlight to the plunger easily going back and forth to take out different enemies. A green light will appear from the plunger and target the ghosts face. If landing a direct hit, it will incapacitate the entity. With all these new features and a lot more to be revealed, this is going to be an exceptional hit for the Luigi series.

Anticipation for October 31st cannot come fast enough for Nintendo Switch owners.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

One of the most critically acclaimed games from CD Projekt Red is coming to Nintendo Switch! For those who have played The Witcher 3, there is no introduction needed. For those who have not, well it is an amazing Open World RPG. To be able to take this game on the go for the Switch handheld is simply amazing. The controls, the graphics, all good and very satisfactory. This game is set in a graphically stunning fantasy world, full of meaningful choices and your consequences have an impact on your journey ahead of you. You play as Geralt of Rivia, a dying breed of caste monster hunters. Embark on an epic journey in a vicious world that will eventually lead you to take on one of the darkest foes you have ever encountered.

Available October 15th.

The Outer Worlds

We all know Obsidian, the creators of Fallout New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity. They are now bringing us The Outer Worlds. An anticipated game for the fans of New Vegas. With some features from New Vegas you can't miss the similarities. Just like Fallout you have multiple choice dialogue you can choose, bringing your actions and decisions in the future. You have companions that you will meet and can even do missions with them along side you. Throughout the missions your companions will change. No detail was mentioned on the matter, just that they will become different depending on the outcome of the mission. You will be exploring Halcyon, the furthest colony in the galaxy, proudly owned and operated by corporations. Everything that stands and is, we owe to them. No one has ever gone against them. A stranger has arrived and is challenging them to a war. You are the one to dig up their secrets. You can either be a villain or a hero. Help and receive awards or kill and take. Amazing guns and abilities. This game is going to be great. We at Games Xtreme cannot wait to review this and give our opinion.

Explore the beautiful scenery and take over on October 25th.

Frostpunk

The game has already come out for PC, but now Frostpunk is being ported to PS4 and Xbox One. The developers have put a lot of useful and extra room for the console controllers. In a post-apocalyptic world, the time has come to build the last city on earth. Real Time Strategy games have been around for a long time, but for developers to bring something so great to consoles without a lot of bs controls and simplifying them, that really shows how much work they have put into this. Building cities, gathering people and everything that comes with making a society work, you will have to put in work. This is going to be an amazing isometric game.

Coming to Xbox One and PS4 October 11th.

Call of Cthulhu

Acclaimed to be one of the best horror games of recent years. You are Edward Pierce, War Veteran, Private Investigator and struggling alcoholic. You come to the near forgotten Dark Water Island to look into the deaths of the Hawkins family, after an inferno engulfed their stately home. Beautiful, dark and gloomy graphics that make you feel like you walked into a ghostly world. Statues of tall dark angels, trees that are bare, nothing in sight looks inviting. As you venture through the game you will find objects that you can investigate and keep as clues, such as graves and documents. The encounter with characters that you meet can be dealt in different ways. Some may be aggressive, and you may have to bargain with them or try to calm them down if they are being violent. Your skills will determine your fate and are improved throughout your journey. Incidental details will tie into finding out what happened to the Hawkins family, and the story as a whole. Your skills will determine how much knowledge you can learn, from paintings, a book, and even ritual circles. Edward is by no means a magical being but is his cunningly perceptive and can recreate a scene from his in depth senses. I for one am excited for this release and can't wait to see how dark and scary it will be.

Coming to Nintendo Switch October 8th.
